Spirited away

Spirited Away is a 2001 animated film fantasy written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki and animated by Studio Ghibli. It is one of the highest grossing animated film of its time. 

The movie is based upon the event of Chihiro, a 10-year-old, and her family stumbling upon and exploring an abandoned building that comes across their way while they were travelling to the new town. Chihiro, being unexperienced of such places, insists her parents to turn back and leave the building. 

Eventually, they come across what seems to be an abandoned marketplace and her parents start to feed themselves. Chihiro, being uneasy and skeptical about the new place, decides to take a stroll and ends up meeting Haku. He warns her to immediately evacuate the place, now realizing the danger, Chihiro embarks to inform her parents the same, only to discover that her parents have been captured and taken somewhere. 

Now, it becomes her mission/adventure to rescue her parents and leave the place before she unwilling becomes a resident over there. But it is not easy as it seems; the place is filled with unusual guests that she must first cater to as a hotel staff member. 

With soot dust coming alive to a dragon turning human, Spirited Away is a full treat to viewers who prefer fantasy filled movies.

In being regarded to “one of the best animated’’ movies ever made, it would be certain to say that the movie is indorsed for audience of age 12 and above as it may contain some scenes slightly sensitive for a younger audience.
