WEDNESDAY is a thriller-comedy Netflix series introduced to the audience on 23 rd of November, 2022. The series is a follow up on the character of “WEDNESDAY ADDAMS” from the previously critically acclaimed movie series The Addams Family. Wednesday Addams, is introduced as her usual mysterious-quiet self in the latest Netflix series. Already having changed approximately eight schools due to her eccentric behavior, she is transferred to Nevermore Academy in the early start of the series to be with “her own kind”. Within a week of transfer, secrets and surprises start to unfold; both about herself and the Nevermore Academy. From being related to witch trials to her dad being accused of being a criminal, the show has it all covered. It would be right to say that the series also incorporates the Gothic aesthetic in an impressive manner.

The series is very well-written with bouts of suspense, thrill and edgy sarcasm. The series has definitely

given the character of Wednesday Addams the spotlight it deserves. The cast of the series has done extraordinarily well in portraying all the characters which makes the series even more interesting to watch. The series has also broken the previous records and has become the most viewed show on Netflix to date, which in itself is a testimony that the show is something to catch on to.

In short, if you are person who likes edgy sarcasm, dark humor, murder-mysteries topped with some light comedy then this show is made for you. However, it would important to note that the show is targeted towards the children of age 13 and above as it may contain some scenes frightening for a younger audience.

As of January 2023, the show is renewed for Season 2, which is much awaited by the fans.
